THE NEED -

Street children are among the most vulnerable groups in India, having limited access to adult supervision, protection, education, health-care. Millions of children go without access to education and as many as 8.4 crores children continue to remain out of schools. Education, being the one important tool to transform lives lies at the bottom of the priority list and the children are forced to beg, pick rags, and are abused severely. Education is an important tool to get out of the cycle of poverty. However, the sad truth is that those children who need it the most - street children and children from underprivileged backgrounds do not have access to QUALITY education.

OUR EFFORT -

Through the Footpathshaala initiative, UPAY helps disadvantaged children cover the gaps in their education. Our team of volunteer help children develops and strengthen their basic skills while also inculcating a range of other soft and technical skills important in today’s world.

We also try to develop within them a sense of admiration and respect for education that will make them willing to pursue education. The hope is that the children will eventually be able to educate their parents and society and create identities of their own.

IMPACT -

Over the next year, we wish to expand our reach to help more such marginalized families and children. The donations made to this campaign will change multiple lives for many generations to come. Your donation will help me reach more children and transform their lives.
